Look in the mirror, the picture is not clear
What appears is distaste
Distorted reflection is shown
That no one else has known
Your confidence is misplaced

Indulging less, but still can’t confess
The beginning of obsession
Consumes from deep within

Your battle from emaciation

Flattered from change, only to blame
Lacking courage to speak
Inside what you felt
Silently crying out for help
Not willing to face defeat

The glass has shown, it will perform
Deceit to your imagination
Ignore what’s observed
Your body did not deserve
This figment of manipulation

Inherent to your core, always wanting more
Not knowing when to cease
Others see you are weak
Sunken to bone in cheek
Disorder is truly disease

What holds you back, is that you lack
To see your own true self
If you only admitted
You wouldn’t be committed
To a prison of restoring health
